November in Wisconsin…

Work and other mundane tasks have kept me from the writing desk. More history coming shortly, including a photo essay about the Civil War service of Mary (Turck) Clark’s brother Benjamin Turck, and much more about the long and productive life of Caroline Clark and her husband, William W. Woodward. Plus a very cool—and informative—map of Milwaukee city and county from 1858.

In the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this photo of southeastern Wisconsin fall foliage from last November. Thanks to photographer Anna Perkins for another lovely Clark House Historian image.

Be well. See you soon.
