Put away the electronics and experience the life of our early settlers at the 1848 house museum and grounds. Enjoy museum tours, outdoor games, and hands-on chores of our early Wisconsin settlers. Try on one of our bonnets or straw hats or come in your own early settler costume.

Interactive activities and games include caring for farm animals, butter churning, rope making, clothes washing, woodworking, ball toss, board games, log barn building, and spinning wool.

The Jonathan Clark House is at the corner of Cedarburg and Bonniwell Roads in Mequon, Wisconsin. Google map

Many thanks to our event sponsors: Lindenwood 4-H, Thiensville Mequon Rotary Club, Mequon Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club, Mequon Thiensville Optimist Club, Ozaukee County Diary Promotion Committee and Culver’s.

I’ll be back with more on Henry Clark and the Civil War draft, next time.
